Cooly Rocks On Festival - FREE
June 9 to June 13
Love a blast from the past? Cooly Rocks On is THE ultimate nostalgia festival, held in Coolangatta over five days of pure rockabilly, pin-up pageants, twist and jive dancing, vintage markets and old-school classic cars. It was sorely missed last year, so expect Cooly Rocks On 2021 to be bigger and better than ever before.
Australian Open Bowls Festival
June 12 to June 25
The biggest lawn bowls festival in the world returns to the Gold Coast in June for two weeks of back-to-back lawn bowls fixtures at 13 incredible host clubs. If you’re a lawn bowls fan (who isn’t?) then this knockout tournament is one to mark in your calendar, boasting a host of daily lawn bowls matches with a jaw-dropping prize purse of $275,000.
Kirra Longboard Klassic 2021 - FREE
July 10 to July 11
The Kirra Longboard Klassic is back, and on top of that, it’s been extended to two days. Its second event will once again invite longboarders from all over to showcase their abilities on Kirra Beach - no competition involved and FREE to spectate for longboarding fans, as well as anyone just looking to kick back on the beachside and soak up the action.
BLEACH Festival - FREE
August 12 to August 22
We all know BLEACH Festival: the colourful art and culture festival on Burleigh Beach that showcases and celebrates talent, expression and heritage. Well, it’s returning this year with another vibrant program that will include free and ticketed performances for all ages, ranging from live art and cultural dance to music, theatre and circus performances - a must-attend this winter.
Gold Coast Show 2021
August 27 to August 29
Yet to visit the Gold Coast? Then come by in August for the Gold Coast Show, a weekend-long community show and festival that celebrates everything the Gold Coast is all about. It’s got equestrian shows and dog shows, fairground rides and attractions, local food, market stalls, live entertainment and fun hands-on activities. Oh, and spectacular closing fireworks - don’t miss it.
